Welcome to my Honors Portfolio! My name is Stella "StellaGee" Udeozor and I am in my final year here at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Communication with a double minor in Electronic Media and Psychology, and a PR certificate.
Going into my last year at UC, I am taken back by the amount of blessings I have encountered thus far and I am humbled. My college experience has been extraordinary to say the least and has been a mile stone in this journey called life. In growing as a Bearcat, I have grown as an individual in ways I never would have imagined.
My third year was full of many surprises that uplifted my tremendously. After the most amazing and unforgettable semester in Costa Rica, I came back to the United Stated still in awe of my experiences only to be greeted by more blessing. In spring semester I was tapped into the Lambda Society Black Woman's Honorary, Cincinnati Women in Excellence and Spirit Together (CWEST), and Cincinnatus Service Honorary; received the Black Girls Rock Award from Kappa Kappa Psi Fraternity Incorporated; and elected external Vice President of one of my most cherished organizations, UC African Students Association. Woah....was NOT expecting any of
that!
As I continue to search myself and learn more about who I am as a daughter, sister, friend, leader, and scholar, I strive to continue growing and becoming a better me. I advocate for those without voices that are constantly being pulled down by the weight of a some- times cruel--yet hopeful society. In a time of racial turnoil in our country, I strive to help bridge the gap of misunderstandings that exist between cultures. I am also looking to continue travelling and both impacting and being impacted by the world. I believe through my actions and attitude I can inspire others to seek the beauty that life has to offer, even amogst the ugly. I am excited for what is to come in the next chapter of my life. The world is my canvas and I am ready to paint.
